March 23 – 29 2014
LCHS has been part of an International Comenius project funded through the British Council that has been running since 1991. In the past we have been invited and hosted the following schools:
• IES Pintor Antonio Lopez, Tres Cantos, Spain
• Elde College, Sint Michielsgestel, Netherlands
• Kentalis, Schijndel (school for the deaf) Netherlands
• Sint-Lodewijks College, Brugge, Belgium
• Gymnasium Waldrasse, Hattingen, Germany
We are immensely proud to participate in this hugely successful partnership.
In March (23rd – 29th 2014) it is our turn to host the other nations here at LCHS. Students between the ages of 16-18 will join us for the week and take part in different activities based around the theme “Get alive, Get a Life”. The main activity will be workshops that the young people will chose to participate in and there will also be social activities in the evenings.
The closing ceremony will take place on Friday 28 March and promises to be a magical evening. All of the students who have taken part in the workshops throughout the week will have the opportunity to showcase their achievements through Dance/Drama and other displays.
The ROTA project is funded through grants which have been received from the Comenius funding through the British Council.
