The Year 8 boys football team beat Caistor Grammar School in the Lincs’ School County Cup Quarter Final.
Coach Leigh Pearson takes up the story: “At half time the game was very much an equal contest with both teams missing chances and the teams going in 1-1 at the break. The second half performance was a testament the boys‘ relentless energy and desire to win. The LCHS boys dominated the second half, never allowing Caistor to get a strangle-hold on the game and creating some great scoring opportunities. As ever, we finished the game in a strong manner and scored some truly delightful goals. Special mention to Robbie Roberts and Michael Child for sensational performances and impeccable displays of decision making, work rate and tackling of the highest calibre.

We will now progress into the semi-final (in theory placing us amongst the top four teams in the whole county.) Some very strong schools enter this competition and for us to get this far is a delight.”
