Travel and Tourism students have taken Romanian children and families to their hearts
As part of their course they have been studying the contrast in the Tourism trade and poverty in Romania. The whole school will be collecting essential items to send in shoeboxes to send to the needy families in Romania. So far the Tourism students have collected six boxes full of everyday items we all take for granted here in the UK.
Miss Morrill Travel and Tourism teacher said” I am extremely impressed with everyone’s commitment to this worthwhile cause. The students have been touched by the need and risen to the challenge of providing for the poor in Romania. I am very proud of their efforts so far and hopefully we will be able to spread some much needed happiness this Christmas with our gifts”
Above are some of the 48 Shoeboxes collected by the school this year with our Year 7 pupils.
